Blog Help
Ok blogging experts, I need some help. I am trying to help my sis-in-law set up a blog for their new school. She wants to set up a link on the side bar that the kids can click on that will take them to the info on driver's ed. How do I do that? I know that there is a gadget called "links", but that just adds a website-right? She doesn't want it as a post cause she wants it to always be available to see. Help!!

Wendy, I'm sure there is more than one way to do what you are trying to do.
One way is to just add the text all to your sidebar. If you want it so there is a picture and when you click on it it brings up all the information, then I believe you need all the information somewhere on the web so that everyone can access it.
I think the easiest way to do it would to post it and then use that link that goes directly to that post. Get it? So once you post all the information it will set a link directly to that post. And then you can add your picture to the side bar and when it is clicked on then it will link directly to that information on that post. I hope this makes sense. I don't think that you can link it to a PDF file on your hard drive. Because everyone doesn't have access to your files. So it does need to be on some web program. I hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't make sense.
There may be another way to do it that I just don't know about. Good luck!
I was going to suggest "link list" but I guess I don't understand what it is that she's trying to direct them to. It's not a website? If no, what is it?
