Big Boy Bed

Another part of Riley's birthday was his new bed. He was growing out of his crib way too fast so we decided to get him a big bed. I would rather him still be in his crib so he couldn't play the escape game, but oh well. We even got him some wall stickers, but he has already destroyed most of them!

Riley's Birthday

Riley's birthday was May 7th. He is a HUGE fan of Go, Diego, Go, so naturally that was the theme for his party. My sister even made him an "animal rescuer" vest, but it was too small for his largeness so he only wore it for a few minutes. He got a new Diego dvd, diego pj's and a leapfrog word whammer-his favorite. And of course he had the Diego cake. He had a blast with all his stuff.

Wesley's new toy

Yes, we have become a motorcycle couple!! This is what Wes got for our anniversary, Father's Day, his birthday and Christmas for the next five years. Ironically, it is saving us money even though we spent money to get it-dang gas prices! It has been a lot of fun so far and even I have enjoyed it, except for the ginormous burn on my right leg (Tail pipes get very, very hot I discovered...). When we went to pick it up, every time we turned around, the kids were up on different bikes. At one point Hailey asked, "how do we pedal these?" Of course we explained that they didn't have pedals, but holy cuteness. When Wes was ready to ride home, I took the kids out to our car and she asked him with great concern, "Daddy, I think it's too big." To which he replied, "for what?" and she replied, "Daddy, I don't think it will fit in the back of the car." Here is the punch line: we were in our two-door hatchback Geo Metro, which is full of Wes' speaker box and two huge car seats. There is hardly even enough room for us, let alone the bikes front tire!! The engine alone would take up the entire back seat. But she was thinking about it trying to figure it out. Very intuitive, just like her daddy. And now whenever Riley sees it he says, "motorcycle fun," which is all the incentive Wes needs to take them for a ride. Word to the unwise: wear pants when riding a bike! I say unwise, because if you already ride a bike, then you are probably wise to that! This is my ginormous burn and it really hurts!

Hailey's Preschool Program

Hailey graduated from Ms. Julie's Kinder Prep Preschool last night, May 20. They learned about kids from other countries and all had to learn a part to recite. Hailey's was "Ancient Israel was the traditional homeland of the Jewish people." Kind of hard words for a four year old but she practiced it a lot and said it perfectly. She had such a great time learning her ABC's and 123's and recognizes and can write almost all of them without help. Not to brag, but we think she is the smartest four year old out there!!!

Tahitian Noni Gardens

We went to Tahitian Noni and asked if we could go take our family photos in their private garden and they said yes as long as we weren't using a professional photographer. We weren't, we had Janice (Wes' mom) follow us around snapping photos for us. The gardens were so beautiful, we had a really good time there. Granted these pictures are about a year and a half old, but now we actually have somewhere to show them off.

Peay Clan

Hey-we finally jumped into this digital camera age! Forgive our poor excuse of a blog as we are still learning how. Just a little info on us: We have been married 8 years and have two kids that drive us CRAZY, but we love them dearly!! Hailey is 4 1/2 and definitely a girly-girl. She loves anything to do with princesses and tea parties. Now she is in the stage of changing her clothes five times a day-great, MORE LAUNDRY!! Riley is the epitome of big!! He is two and looks like he is three!! He has a bigger appetite than me and is constantly bringing me food out of the pantry. His first real sentence was,"I want fries, chicken". OOPS, my bad! I stay at home with the munchkins and Wes works at the Utah State Hospital. Nope, we are NOT crazy!!!
